VINKOVCI, 06.05.2020. – „Wood-technology Centre Slavonian Oak” is an innovation infrastructure project adopted by the Partnership Council of Vukovar – Srijem County as a strategic county project in Vukovar – Srijem County Development Strategy.
Competence Centre Ltd. is responsible for implementation of the project.
Wood-technology Centre is currently under construction, all necessary permits were obtained, and in October 2019 construction work began. So far, all preparatory works have been done, and foundation works, construction of administrative building, conditioning hall, and canopies for the shipment of materials are currently in progress.

Wood-technology Centre will be equipped with state of the art equipment for our wood sector (equipment for 3D design, equipment for preparation, processing and testing of wood quality, etc.) which will be available to SMEs in the wood sector, small sawmills, carpentries and crafts, the unemployed, start-ups in the wood sector, pupils, students, professors, scientists, researchers and innovators, as well as all other stakeholders in forestry and wood industry value chain.
The aim of the project is to strengthen the competitiveness and balance regional development through regional innovation infrastructure, horizontal and/or vertical integration of wood sector value chain in bioeconomy for the Vukovar-Srijem County.

Budget: 24.994.781,16 HRK
