International scientific conference WoodEMA 2020 & ICWST 2020 “Sustainability of Forest-Based Industries in the Global Economy”, organised by Faculty of Forestry, University of Zagreb and Competence Centre Ltd. was held in Vinkovci (online).
Scientists from higher education institutions and research organizations from European countries and United States of America discussed about impact of globalisation on forestry and wood industry, factors which effect wood processing, modern furniture design, energy efficiency of wood processing, possibilities of processing wood residues, application of information technologies in forestry and wood industry and other interesting topics. 63 scientific papers were presented during the conference.
International scientific conference WoodEMA & ICWST 2020 was official EU Green Week 2020 event, initiated and organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Environment – “A new beginning for people and nature”.
This year, Competence Centre is marking its 3rd anniversary and 10th anniversary of Wood Cluster SLAVONIAN OAK.
