Competence Centre of the Vukovar-Srijem County organized workshop about funding possibilities for Danube region projects in cooperation with the Head of Department in the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the European Commission, Ms. Andrea Strachinescu.
The workshop was held on August 24, 2022 in the County Hall of the Vukovar-Srijem County in Vukovar.
The workshop was attended by representatives of the Vukovar-Srijem County, the Administrative Department for Tourism and Culture VSC, Croatian Forests, the Port Authority of Vukovar Ltd., FERIT, the Fishermen’s Association, the County Development Agency of Osijek-Baranja, the Development Agency VSC, Croatian Waters, Public Institution for Nature Protection of Osijek-Baranja County and College of Applied Sciences Lavoslav Ružička Vukovar.
The Head of the department Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the European Commission, within the EC DG MARE mission, presented the European Commission’s plans for the Danube area, and project funding options.
EC DG MARE encourages innovation and informs about smart specialization programs and strategies and collects inputs for the European Fund for Strategic Investments and its use in the maritime and fisheries sectors of the economy.
