VINKOVCI 07.05.2020. – ROSEWOOD 4.0 is a two-year HORIZON 2020 project financed within the call for „renaissance of rural areas“ RUR 2019 „Thematic networks compiling knowledge ready for practice“ under contract number 862681. The consortium of 21 partners from 18 European countries, coordinated by the Steinbeis- Europa Zentrum in Germany includes intermediary institutions, international and regional networks, research institutions and associations. The project started in February 2020.
ROSEWOOD 4.0 is a continuation of ROSEWOOD project (finished in January 2020) and focuses on digitization and digital knowledge transfer tools, training programs and internships and enables forestry and wood industry practitioners to share knowledge with much greater impact. The project improves the existing network of European regions ROSEWOOD, it provides stakeholders in forestry and wood industry value chains greater opportunities to exchange examples of good practice in the field and provides access to a wide range of technological and non-technological innovations.
The focus on digital platforms and digital training solutions reduces the gap where the forestry and wood industry sector lags in the application of modern ICT solutions. This contributes to two main challenges in wood mobilisation in Europe: access to primary resources and transparency of the market.
The Competence Centre Ltd is part of the Center for Southeast Europe for sustainable wood use and continues to strengthen the network of stakeholders in the forestry and wood industry value chain, from the tree in the forest to the final product.

Join us in strengthening our forestry and wood industry sector!
We invite you to join us in gathering information on the application of digital solutions in forestry and wood industry or on existing measures and teaching media in education and training programs.
Gathering information serves as a basis for creating „future-oriented“ educational and teaching materials, as well as for creating the concept of digitalization in the sustainable use of wood.
