Official welcome ceremony for the first generation of wood technology students starting Faculty of Forestry, University of Zagreb Undergraduate Wood Technology Studies in Vinkovci was organised on 5 October 2020. Studies will be performed in Vinkovci starting from academic year 2020/2021.
Students were greeted by prefect of Vukovar-Srijem County Božo Galić, head of City Department Hrvoje Niče and Vice-dean of Faculty of Forestry professor Stjepan Pervan, PhD. This occasion was also an opportunity to hold a Wood Cluster SLAVONIAN OAK Management Board thematic session. Wood processing companies, which initiated these studies, and which are anticipating first wood technology engineers participated on the session.
Studies are co-financed by Vukovar-Srijem County and City of Vinkovci, while Competence Centre Ltd. for research and development from Vinkovci will help with practical classes and student professional practice.
