{"id":8591,"date":"2024-12-09T12:09:39","date_gmt":"2024-12-09T11:09:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cekom.hr\/?p=8591"},"modified":"2024-12-09T12:10:32","modified_gmt":"2024-12-09T11:10:32","slug":"zapoceo-medunarodni-projekt-retfor-jacanje-mjera-otpornosti-na-klimatske-promjene-za-zastitu-i-revitalizaciju-ekosustava-spacvansko-bosutskog-bazena","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cekom.hr\/en\/zapoceo-medunarodni-projekt-retfor-jacanje-mjera-otpornosti-na-klimatske-promjene-za-zastitu-i-revitalizaciju-ekosustava-spacvansko-bosutskog-bazena\/","title":{"rendered":"Launch of the International project RETFOR - Strengthening climate resilience measures for protection and revitalisation of ecosystems in the Spa\u010dva-Bosut Basin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 1st of November 2024, the international RETFOR project officially started with the aim of increasing the resilience of the Spa\u010dva-Bosut basin ecosystem to the challenges posed by climate change.<a> <\/a>Spa\u010dva-Bosut basin is one of the largest oak forests in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RETFOR provides innovative solutions to address the consequences of extreme weather events, such as droughts and storms, which seriously threaten this unique ecosystem. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the project brings together experts from various fields, including forestry, geology, hydrology, ecology and bioeconomy to develop holistic and sustainable conservation methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project will be implemented through three main activities : initial activities focused on baseline assessment and knowledge transfer, innovative pilot actions to enhance climate resilience and the development of a strong Community of practice. One of the main results  of the project will be a jointly developed Action plan for the implementation of activities to increase climate resistance in the Spa\u010dvan-Bosut basin and a Climate change monitoring center, enabling continuous oversight and timely responses to climate challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is led by Croatian Forests Ltd, with the Competence Centre Ltd as project partner, as well as Public Company Vojvodina\u0161ume Serbia, Croatian Waters, Public Water Management Company \u201eVode Vojvodine\u201d Novi Sad and European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is co-financed through the Interreg VI-A IPA Program Croatia \u2013 Serbia 2021 \u2013 2027 under Priority Axis 2: \"Cooperation for a Greener and Climate Resilient Programming Area,\" Specific Objective 2.4: \"Promoting Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Prevention and Resilience, taking into account Ecosystem-Based Approaches.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More about the project at the link: &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrsume.hr\/gradjani\/eu-projekti\/retfor\/\">https:\/\/www.hrsume.hr\/gradjani\/eu-projekti\/retfor\/<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1. studenog 2024. godine slu\u017ebeno je zapo\u010deo me\u0111unarodni projekt RETFOR, s ciljem pove\u0107anja otpornosti ekosustava Spa\u010dvansko-bosutskog bazena na izazove klimatskih promjena.
