Within the project, a transparent and objective online information system for assessing the suitability of contractors performing one or more forestry services in Slovenia is developed.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The main objective of the project was to improve the competitiveness of forest-based sector regarding quality of operators\u2019 evaluation. The benefits of the web platform are connecting all actors through wood chain and transparent collection of all forestry service providers.<\/p>\n<p>With this project, goal was to contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the Slovenian forestry sector by developing and implementing a transparent system for assessing the quality of forestry contractors.<\/p>\n<p>Experts from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gozdis.si\/\">Slovenian Forestry Institute<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bf.uni-lj.si\/\">Department of Forestry and Renewable Forest Resources &#8211; Biotechnical Faculty<\/a> contributed to development of web platform.<\/p>\n<p>Project was funded by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.si\/drzavni-organi\/ministrstva\/ministrstvo-za-kmetijstvo-gozdarstvo-in-prehrano\/\">Slovenian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food<\/a> (70%) and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arrs.si\/sl\/\">Public Research Agency of the Republic of Slovenia<\/a> (30%).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9U7XjnlxeZ4\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today we present 4th out of 5 videos of South-East Europe HUB best practices: project MyForester which was implemented by Slovenian Forestry Institute.
