We are proud to have participated in a project in which dedicated efforts were made to strengthen the STEM skills of teachers, educational staff and students of Elementary School Zrinskih Nuštar and to increase awareness of biodiversity conservation and the protection of our forests.
Project “Strengthening STEM skills through ecology in the Elementary school Zrinskih Nuštar”, which ran from 1st August 2022 to 30th April 2024, was 100% funded by EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021. Lead partner of the project was Elementary School Zrinskih Nuštar, managed with budget of 738.453,84 EUR. Partners on the project were Competence Centre Ltd for research and development, Agricultural and Forestry school Vinkovci Department of Electronic Systems, Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
During the project implementation, significant results were achieved, including the implementation of 16 trainings to strengthen the competencies of 42 teachers and educational staff in the STEM field, and for 366 students who actively participated in various activities in the project. One of the numerous results of the project was the development of 7 new STEM extracurricular programs, among which "Informatics in special departments", "STEM in plant breeding", "About the forest, in the forest, for the forest" and "Young meteorologists" stand out. the project resulted in equipping 4 multimedia classrooms with modern ICT equipment in three locations - Nuštar, Cerić and Marinci.
Competence Centre Ltd for research and development is proud to point out the successful cooperation with its partners, Elementary school Zrinskih Nuštar, Agricultural and Forestry school Vinkovci Department of Electronic Systems and Norwegian University of Science and Technology, with whom we jointly worked to strengthen STEM skills through innovative approaches in education.
