We organised a local and regional stakeholder training within our NBS4LOCAL project, focused on planning and financing of nature-based solutions (NbS). The training brought together experts, regional and local stakeholders from various sectors to discuss the opportunities for implementing NbS in our ecosystem. By implementing NbS solutions while tackling the climate change challenges, we preserve biodiversity and ecosystem sustainability.
The NBS4LOCAL project, supported by the INTERREG EUROPE program, will run until May 2027, with a total budget of €1,819,180. The project aims to improve water management, forestry, urban greening, and land management across the European Union.
Training participants shared their experiences and analysed best practices in applying NbS, as well as considered the challenges and opportunities specific to the Vukovar-Srijem County.
