Wood technology studies at Faculty of Forstry in Vinkovci
Vukovar-Srijem County, City of Vinkovci, Competence Centre Ltd. and Faculty of Forestry signed cooperation agreement in 2019 pursuant to which the Senate of the University of Zagreb gave its consent in February 2020, thus fulfilling all the prerequisites for the commencement of wood technology studies in Vinkovci, starting in academic year 2020/2021
Wood technology studies in Vinkovci can enroll up to 40 students, it will last 6 semesters and upon its completion, students will acquire a professional title – bachelor of wood technology. Faculty of Forestry is responsible for organisation of the studies and upon completion of their studies, bachelors have the opportunity to continue their studies on one of graduate or specialist studies at the Faculty of Forestry in Zagreb or other faculties.

Internship project for Faculty of Forestry approved!
Faculty of Forestry, University of Zagreb, received from the Ministry of Science and Education 3.902.617,14 HRK for “Development and implementation of professional practice at the Faculty of Forestry” financed under the Call “Development, promotion and implementation of professional practice in higher education”, European Social Found, Operational Program „Effective Human Resources 2014-2020“.
Through this project, students will gain practical skills and knowledge, as well as first work experience by participating in activities based on solving real problems in the sector. Forestry and wood technology students will gain additional skills for more successful inclusion in the labour market through education, and professional practice in form of mentored practical work at the faculty, group field classes in companies and nature parks as well as individual internships in companies lasting one month.
Project activities also include equipping of computer classroom and workshop for professional practice for wood technology students, procurement of special software for production management.
Partners on the project are Croatian Chamber of Forestry and Wood Technology Engineers, Competence Centre Ltd. and Vukovar-Srijem County Wood Cluster Slavonian Oak.
Carpentry and Technical School in Vinkovci
In addition to inviting high school graduates to enroll in wood technology studies in Vinkovci, we are also inviting eighth grade elementary pupils to enroll in the Carpentry and Technical School in Vinkovci because wood comes first!
