DRWO4.0: Interreg Danube lead partners on Capitalization Workshop of PA8 and PA7 for Knowledge Exchange and Boosting Competitiveness

The Competence Centre Ltd., as lead partner in the DRWO4.0 project, participated in the Capitalisation Workshop held on March 26–27 in Bratislava. The event brought together lead partners of 22 Interreg Danube projects, with a common goal of enhancing knowledge, fostering synergies, and strengthening competitiveness across the Danube region.

The workshop was organised by Priority Area 7 – Knowledge Society and Priority Area 8 – Competitiveness of Enterprises within the framework of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR). The focus was on connecting project teams working in the fields of circular economy, technology transfer, sustainable cities and regions, smart specialisation, and Industry 4.0.

The aim of the workshop was to encourage knowledge and experience exchange, identify shared challenges, increase the visibility of project results to a broad range of stakeholders, and support their practical implementation in businesses, startups, and applied contexts.

During the two-day programme, notable examples of good practices were presented from several projects, one of which was DRWO4.0 project.

Participants also took part in thematic working groups focused on three key areas:

  1. Sustainable cities and regions – emphasising local sustainability initiatives, agile pilot implementation methods, and long-term knowledge exchange
  2. Smart Specialization and Industry 4.0 & Technology Transfer – with recommendations for strengthening collaboration with policymakers, developing knowledge platforms, and promoting interdisciplinary cooperation
  3. Kružna ekonomija – u kojoj je istaknuta važnost integracije principa održivosti u sve faze projektnog ciklusa i učinkovito korištenje resursa.
