ZAGREB, 22.10.2019. – Dean Tibor Pentek PhD, at the ceremonial session of the Faculty of Forestry, University of Zagreb, on the occasion of the 121st anniversary of its founding, announced in his speech, a launch of dislocated faculty of wood technology in Vinkovci, starting from 2020/2021 academic year.
A welcome speech were given by Minister of Agriculture MSc Marija Vučković, president of University of Zagreb Damir Boras PhD, President of the board of Hrvatske Šume d.o.o. Krunoslav Jakupčić and others.
Director of Competence centre Ltd. Ivan Ambroš PhD, as representative of Vukovar-srijem County and as envoy of Prefect Božo Galić attended the ceremony. Faculty of Forestry, University of Zagreb, is a member of the Wood cluster Slavonian Oak since 2015, and also have an excellent collaboration with Competence centre Ltd. on preparation and implementation of various projects. With high support of Vukovar-srijem County’s Prefect, Božo Galić and Mayor of Vinkovci, Ivan Bosančić, Competence centre Ltd. and Faculty of Forestry continues with preparatory activities so students can enroll Faculty of Forestry in Vinkovci next year.
