On November 20, 2025, a meeting of experts in the field of IT and wood technology "IT meets wood 2" was held, organized by the Electrical Engineering, Computing and Information Technology Club and the Competence Centre Ltd for research and development.
The meeting was held in Gradište, Business Zone Ambarine 8, with the aim of presenting and demonstrating the application of knowledge in the field of information technology within the wood industry. The participants were presented with the activities of the Competence Centre and current research and development projects that are being implemented. The focus was on presenting results that directly affect the digitalization of processes and increasing efficiency in wood processing. The employees of the Competence Centre presented the company's profile and activities, while the president of the Association (Electrical Engineering, Computing and Information Technology Club) presented the current activities of the Association.
In addition to reviewing theoretical knowledge and projects, participants had the opportunity to go through the operation of advanced wood processing machines used in CEKOM, which rounded off the complete picture of the combination of high technology and professional knowledge.
