Vukovar-Srijem County Prefect Damir Dekanić, Deputy Mayor of Vinkovci Josip Romić, PhD, and Director of Competence Centre Ltd for research and development Ivan Ambroš, PhD, signed a Contract for cooperation in launching Computer Science Study in Vinkovci with Dean of Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek prof. Drago Žagar, PhD, after the Ministry of Science and Education issued a Certificate of enrolment for List of study programs for the dislocated undergraduate Computer Science Study in Vinkovci.
After the start of the Wood Technology Study, the Computer Science Study begins
In Competence Centre Ltd for research and development Strategic Business Plan 2020-2024, strategic initiative of launching studies for the needs of Vukovar-Srijem county economy is defined. After the launch of Wood Technology Study, Computer Science Study will be second study launched for development needs of Vukovar-Srijem County economy.
In the first generation, academic year 2021/2022, of Computer Science Study in Vinkovci, 25 to 40 students are expected to be enrolled. Classes will be held in Technical school Ruđer Bošković Vinkovci.
Computer Science Study will last six semesters or three academic years. Upon completion of the Study, 180 ECTS credits are acquired, and the description of the title upon completion of the Study is a professional bachelor’s degree in computer engineering.

It is clear to everyone what the IT sector means at this time, the fastest growing sector with excellent salaries, where it is easy to find a job. Now we can give our young people the opportunity to be educated in their hometown. “- said Prefect Damir Dekanić.
